Emmanuel Church Aylsham

SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES

Covid considrations:

Although government restrictions have been lifted we acknowledge that there will be those who choose to retain either wearing masks and/or some social distancing.

We want to accommodate everyone so sanitiser will still be available, and the hall will be set up to seat adequate numbers in a way that retains some social distancing.  We appreciate that some will chose to continue wearing a mask.

John 1:The Word Became Flesh

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome  it.

There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Please note that we anticipate that we will be holding services from Dec 5th in the Drill Hall next door to Emmanuel as work is expected to start in the new year.

WE WELCOME YOU
ABOUT OUR CHURCH

As a church we look to the guidance of the Holy Spirit that we may know what is in the mind of Christ for Emmanuel Church.

We seek to encourage, share and develop the gifts and ministries that Christ gives for his church - ‘Apostles’ ‘Prophets’ ‘Evangelists’ ‘Pastors’ and ‘Teachers’ to equip his people for works of service.

The church that Jesus wants has

organisational structures and human

resources, our prayerful longing is  that we might be filled, individually and collectively, 'to the measure of all the fullness of God'

We look for all the ministries and gifts of the Holy Spirit to be manifest within the local church.  And desire to see each person living to the full in what God has for them, both personally and in sharing with others within the church.
